John Lynch

John is Of Counsel at O’Connor, Haseley, & Wilhelm and concentrates his practice on liquor law. John has assisted breweries, distilleries, and bars with permitting from start to finish, including options, transfers, as well as all types of general business agreements.

In 2019, John ran the first successful Regulation D Crowdfund in Columbus, Ohio. The campaign attracted 290 individual investors and raised $169,000 for his own pre-mixed cocktail business. This new, dynamic opportunity to solicit the general public to invest in startup enterprises is regulated by the SEC. John can help you determine if your alcohol-related business could benefit from an Equity Crowdfund.

John has previously practiced general law as a solo practitioner and argued in front of the Ohio Elections Commission.

John is also owner of the Columbus-based small business Rambling House. The bar and live music venue has a following across the midwest. Rambling House produces alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages sold at bars, restaurants and grocers throughout Ohio. Whether you are looking for legal advice for your restaurant, bar, brewery, or distillery, John can help you find a practical solution as someone who understands day-to-day operations of liquor businesses.

John received his Bachelor of Arts from the Catholic University of America, where he ran cross-country and track.  He received his law degree from Capital Law, with a concentration in Environmental Law. John resides in Clintonville with his wife Jennifer and two sons Michael and Teddy. Through Rambling House, John has continually supported organizations including Wild Goose Creative, Bridgeway Academy, Clintonville Resource Center, and hundreds of local musicians, the arts and nonprofits.  John is a proud sustaining sponsor of NCIL Youth Baseball.
