John Haseley is a partner with O’Connor, Haseley and Wilhelm Law. His practice focuses on Government, Administrative and Municipal Law. Haseley has a diverse range of legal experiences at all levels of government having served two governors, a U.S. Senator and a Member of Congress working in positions as Chief of Staff, Counsel and legislative aide. He also clerked on the U.S. Court of Appeals and at the local level he has been an Assistant Prosecutor and Village Solicitor

After graduating from George Washington University’s National Law Center, Haseley did Judiciary Committee work and judicial appointments for U.S. Senator John Glenn, clerked at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit Judge Guy Cole, Jr. and served as Chief of Staff to Ted Strickland when he was a member of Congress and Governor of Ohio. Haseley presented Amicus briefs on behalf of Strickland to the Ohio Supreme Court and the U.S. Supreme Court arguing the unconstitutionality of Ohio’s school funding system.

John is also a Principal at the Remington Road Group, a prominent Columbus consulting firm where he has worked to help start-up businesses get off the ground. He consults with clients on government, stakeholder and media relations and is especially involved in advocacy on behalf of union members.

Haseley teaches a graduate seminar on crisis management as an Adjunct Professor at Ohio University. He’s a Board Member and Acting Counsel for New Resource Solutions, a solar finance company and was formerly a Board Member on Ohio’s Air Quality Development Authority. Haseley also serves on the Athens County Board of Elections as well as the Board of Hope Village, a recovery center in Northeast Ohio.

John lives in Athens County with his wife Amanda and two kids, Jack and Annie. He is active in the Athens Community where he is a Member of the Board of Elections, Chair of the County Democratic Party and President of the Board of the Athens County Foundation.
